Taking Our Name Seriously...
...That's precisely what we do at Environmental Protection, Inc.
A dynamic organization that has been delivering environmental solutions since 1980, EPI is deeply dedicated to our namesake. We utilize cutting-edge technology in the geomembrane industry, such as Dual Track Welding and Air Channel Testing using Thermal Welding and the accelerated testing procedure named after the developer, the Wolschon Test. EPI is the leader in PVC Geomembrane thermal welding and worked extensively with TRI & the PGI to create a process to air channel test PVC field seams. EPI initiated the specification at ASTM and Mark Wolschon was the Task Group Leader and author of the specifications, ASTM D7177 and ASTM D7408.
We Value Quality Over Quantity
EPI's Quality Control Manual has been carefully designed to surpass both industry requirements and customer expectations. Our PVC Liners are fabricated in panel sizes up to 40,000 square feet, conveniently accordion-folded in both directions, and packaged for shipment to your project site for efficient and convenient installation that saves you time and money. EPI utilizes statistical process control (SPC) to ensure the quality and exceptional integrity of every panel we provide. We are the ONLY Fabricator in North America that doesn't just test on "representative" samples — we remove actual test samples from factory seams during the welding process to rigorously and accurately test our high-quality product. This effective testing has proven time and time again that we create the highest quality factory-fabricated PVC geomembranes available in the industry.
Save Time & Money with Factory Fabrication
Factory fabrication of panels reduces field seams by as much as 80%. This leads to more efficient installation, resulting in decreased field seaming, less testing, and ultimately a lower cost. PVC liners fabricated by EPI are single-ply construction manufactured from Polyvinyl Chloride. Only first-quality virgin PVC resins and high molecular weight plasticizers are used. Because of this, every material fabricated at EPI exceeds the ASTM D7176 Standard for Flexible Membrane Liners and ASTM D7408 Standard for Factory and Field Seams.
Many of our product applications can be seen in places such as the Columbus Upground Reservoir in Columbus, Ohio, the Antrim/Kalkaska County Landfill, also in northern Michigan, and the Coachella Canal in southern California. Daniel S. Rohe is President of Environmental Protection, Inc.
