Custom Fabrication

What is Custom Fabrication of Geomembrane Panels?

In the geomembrane world, custom fabrication means designing and building liner panels to fit the project—rather than forcing the project to fit standard roll goods. Instead of shipping flat rolls and solving geometry in the field, custom fabrication shifts that work into a controlled manufacturing environment where panels are engineered, cut, and seamed to precise dimensions. Panel sizes, seam layouts, and material orientation are all planned in advance, allowing the liner system to arrive on site ready to deploy, with far fewer field welds and far tighter tolerances.

Custom fabrication also allows geomembranes to take on complex, non-rectangular forms that would be difficult, risky, or inefficient to build in the field. Cylindrical tank liners, round or oval containment structures, sumps, and irregular footprints can be fabricated as shaped panels that naturally conform to the structure rather than being pieced together from straight runs. The same approach applies to integrated accessories such as pipe boots, penetrations, corners, and transitions, which can be factory-built and fused into the liner system as part of the original fabrication. By addressing geometry, penetrations, and details upstream, custom fabrication reduces installer improvisation, improves seam quality, and delivers a liner system that fits cleanly, installs faster, and performs more reliably over its service life.
